Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 Power Cycle Fault

BTW: This problem is *fixed*. The BIOS had to be re-written as it had been corrupted. This video shows a GA-P35-DS3 exibiting a nasty little fault whereby it constantly power cycles (on off on off on off…) before the system can reach the BIOS/POST. The system was built in an environment in which my company builds wireless devices amongst other things so you can imagine it is as healthy a build environ as a PC can get. Although you can see that the PC is in it’s usual home (my house) but still in it’s case. The motherboard has had all devices removed, leaving just the E6850 CPU and the 580W PSU. Yes, I’ve already tried another identical PSU and and yes, I’ve cleared the BIOS by bridging the CMOS pins and also by removing the battery for ten whole minutes. What’s that? Flash the BIOS? Change the BIOS settings? I would if I could matey but I can’t get to the BIOS as the system can’t reach it as it is continuously power cycling. This video is for other people who may be experiencing the same thing. It’s a shame as it is otherwise a sweet motherboard. Mines on RMA now. If you have the same problem, contact the supplier’s tech dept and get it replaced if you can.
